At House of Being (registered under KvK 81735456), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you visit our website, book a workshop, apply for a training program, or work with us for individual coaching.

1. Data We Collect and Why

We only collect personal information that is necessary to deliver our services safely and professionally.

  • Contact & Booking Information: When you register for an evening workshop, intensive, or coaching session, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and billing details. We use this to process your ticket, send logistical updates, and manage financial bookkeeping.

  • Intake & Application Data: For advanced programs (such as our Level Three Seminars or Tantra Year Training), you provide personal or professional background information via email or intake forms. We process this data to assess workshop compatibility and student matching.

  • Sensitive Personal Data (Somatic Health & Boundaries): Because our breathwork, tantra, and embodiment practices involve intensive emotional and physical engagement, we may ask you to voluntarily disclose physical health limitations or psychological vulnerabilities. This data is handled with the highest level of confidentiality and is strictly used to guarantee somatic safety during workshops.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data based on:

  1. Performance of a Contract: To manage your booking, intake, and participation as outlined in our Terms & Conditions.

  2. Legal Obligation: To comply with Dutch tax laws regarding financial administration and invoicing.

  3. Explicit Consent: For sensitive health data or subscription to our marketing newsletter (which you can opt-out of at any time).

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

We never sell your data. We only share information with trusted third-party service providers essential to running our business, including:

  • Booking & Ticketing Engines: To process secure ticket purchases.

  • Payment Processors: To safely handle payments, credit card details, and IDEAL processing.

  • Email & Newsletter Tools: To send automated logistics, preparation guides, and news updates.

  • Co-Facilitators: Securely sharing relevant physical or emotional safety parameters with our co-trainers/assistants to support you safely during residential retreats.

4. Data Retention

We do not store your data longer than necessary.

  • Financial records (invoices and booking transactions) are legally kept for 7 years to comply with Dutch tax authority mandates.

  • Intake assessments and health disclosures are deleted or securely archived within 1 year after your participation in the respective training or coaching program has concluded.

5. Your Legal Rights

Under European privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Request a correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Request the complete erasure of your data (the "right to be forgotten"), provided it does not conflict with legal financial retention requirements.

  • Withdraw your consent at any time for future data processing (such as newsletter unsubscribe).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us directly via email.
